Comparison

A Group Funnels alternative, compared honestly

Group Funnels set the $297 lifetime price that the rest of this category now measures itself against. Here is what that buys, where it stops, and why we built something narrower.

Updated 5 minute read

The short version

  • A one-time $297 for a lifetime licence, with no recurring fee.
  • Group Collector prices its lifetime licence at the same $297, which is what makes it the anchor.
  • It positions around the wider funnel rather than the capture step alone.
  • Your browser very likely has to be open to Facebook while it captures, though Group Funnels do not state it and we have not confirmed it.
  • KeepAnswers is narrower on purpose and runs without you at the computer.

Credit where it is due on pricing

In a category where the default is a monthly fee that grows with the number of groups you run, selling a lifetime licence is the buyer-friendly move. It removes the annual renewal conversation and it removes the risk that the tool you built a process around triples its price in year three.

It also set the number. When two separate vendors price a lifetime licence at $297, that becomes the figure every buyer in the category has in their head, ours included. Our launch price sits below it deliberately, and our regular price sits exactly on it.

What Group Funnels does well

  • One payment, no renewal, no per-month arithmetic
  • A wider scope than capture alone, if you want one tool covering more of the funnel
  • Long enough in the market to have set the category's lifetime price
  • No group-count pricing ladder to climb as you grow

What you take on

  • Your browser very likely must be open to Facebook while it works (unconfirmed)
  • Multi-group activity is paced by you rather than by the tool
  • A wider scope means more product to learn than a single-job tool

When a lifetime licence is worth it

The maths depends entirely on what you would otherwise buy, so it is worth doing properly rather than accepting “lifetime is cheaper” as a rule.

Against the top subscription tier in this category, a lifetime licence pays for itself before the end of the first year. Against the cheapest annual plan it takes most of a presidential term. Both facts are true at once, which is why “lifetime is better value” is only ever a claim about a specific comparison.

The honest risk in any lifetime licence

Lifetime means the lifetime of the product, not of the buyer. That is true of theirs and it is true of ours, and it is more true of ours because we are an early release with no trading history. You are buying a lower total cost in exchange for carrying the risk that the product stops being maintained.

We think that is a fair trade at the launch price. It is not a trade everyone should take.

Prices read from the vendor’s own site on August 12, 2026. They change, and the vendor’s page is the authority, not this one.

Narrow on purpose

Group Funnels reaches for more of the marketing stack. That is a legitimate product shape and for some people it is the right one: fewer tools, one login, one place where the pipeline lives.

KeepAnswers does four things and stops:

  • Reads every membership question answer, including the email address.
  • Writes the row into a Google Sheet you own.
  • Sends the lead magnet the question promised.
  • Approves the member on a schedule that behaves like a person.

Everything after that belongs to your email platform, which is already better at it than any extension will be. Narrow scope is the reason a one-time price works: there is no growing infrastructure bill behind the product.

The one line that decides it

Both are a single payment for a tool that captures membership answers. If your computer is on with Facebook open through the working day, the browser requirement costs you nothing and the older product is the safer purchase. If it is not, that requirement is the whole problem, and it is the reason KeepAnswers exists.

Pick Group Funnels if

  • You want one tool covering more of the funnel than the capture step.
  • You prefer buying from an established product with trading history.
  • Your machine is on with Facebook open most of the working day.

Pick KeepAnswers if

  • You want the capture and the approvals to run without you at the computer.
  • You want a tool that does one job and gets out of the way.
  • You want the launch price while it is $100 under the category anchor.
  • You run more than one group and do not want to pace them by hand.

Next step

The comparison table puts all five side by side, and the pricing page lists what the licence covers and what it does not. If you want the underlying job first, the guide on auto-approving members covers the pacing question that all of this turns on.

Questions people ask

What does Group Funnels cost?
A one-time $297 for a lifetime licence. Group Collector sells a lifetime licence at the same number, which between them is what makes $297 the reference price for a lifetime licence in this category.
Is a lifetime licence actually cheaper than a subscription?
Against the top monthly tier of a subscription competitor at $57 a month, a lifetime licence pays for itself inside six months. Against a $79-a-year plan it takes closer to four years. The comparison only means something once you name the specific plan you would otherwise buy.
Does Group Funnels need my browser open?
We have not found Group Funnels stating this either way, so treat it as unconfirmed rather than as something we checked. It reads membership answers from a rendered Facebook page in a logged-in session, which normally means the tab has to be open, and Group Leads' documentation says exactly that about theirs. Ask Group Funnels directly if the answer decides your purchase.
How is KeepAnswers different at the same price point?
Once launch pricing ends both are a one-time payment for a lifetime licence. The difference is that KeepAnswers runs on its own randomised schedule with quiet hours and nobody at the computer, and spaces its activity across multiple groups without you setting the intervals.
Which one covers more of the marketing job?
Group Funnels positions itself around the wider funnel rather than the capture step alone. KeepAnswers is deliberately narrower: capture the answer, write the row, send the promised email, approve the member. If you want one tool covering more of the funnel, that is a genuine reason to look at theirs.
